June in Wilmington brought the kind of heat that makes you feel like you’re melting, but Marla and Dan absolutely crushed their engagement session at Winterthur Museum in Wilmington. Between the historic estate, endless gardens, and shaded stone paths, we found so many perfect backdrops for their engagement photos.

Their story is such a classic Delco love connection. They knew of each other in high school but didn’t start dating until after college, when one night out turned into forever. Dan pulled off the sweetest proposal with a fake party invite, a surprise backyard setup, and flowers waiting behind a tree and totally caught Marla off guard.

Even with the summer heat, these two stayed relaxed and fun-loving, laughing through the entire session. They love simple joys like trips to the shore, trying new restaurants, and just hanging out together and it shows in every photo. Winterthur gave us the perfect mix of romantic garden vibes and quiet, tucked-away spots to capture it all.
