Engagement Session in Downtown Collingswood, New Jersey
I’m so excited to share this engagement session!! Kelsey & Dan wanted to have their engagement session in a location that was meaningful to them so they chose Collingswood, NJ since thats where they started their life together! These two are such a fun loving couple and laughed literally the entire engagement session! Kelsey gave me a heads up beforehand that Dan was not a huge photo taker and isn’t big into smiling for photos but also told me that she warned him that there would be lots of smiling no if ands or buts!! Going into the session with this information I expected a little challenge with Dan, but to my surprise he was more then ready to smile and participate in whatever photos to make Kelsey happy – love that!!! We started their session downtown Collingswood for a few shots before we left to finish the session with a little picnic at Cooper River which is down the street from where they live. It was such a cute area to photograph in!
Kelsey and Dan met in 2018 at the shore in Sea Isle City where they were attending a mutual friends white attire themed party – to where Kelsey paired her white outfit with a white sling due to a broken collarbone – ouch! Although Dan said he noticed her right away, it was Kelsey who went up to him first towards the end of the night. She asked him about his tattoo on his arm and they spent the rest of the evening together just getting to know one another and said it felt like they’ve known each other for years! Their first date was at Yards Brewing in King of Prussia where they ordered a sushi roll that was basically just some toppings on a rice cake – lol gross, but they still laugh about it to this day.
Dan proposed on 12/19/2020 at Longwood Gardens right around Christmas time. He bought tickets and told her what time to be ready. When they got to Longwood he found a perfect secluded spot to pop the question and even had both of their sisters dressed up in disguise to take photos. He put down a glove and kneeled on it so his pants wouldn’t get dirty and then asked Kelsey to marry him. A perfect proposal followed by a party at Kelsey’s parents with all of her close friends and family.
Kelsey and Dan are such a fun couple to be around! After a long week at work they love to spend the weekend together sleeping in and grabbing a late afternoon latte. They also love to spend time outside whether it be fishing or relaxing on the beach or just hanging with friends. A bottle of wine and dinner at sunset by the water is all these two need to enjoy the perfect date night – followed by some dancing of course!
Kelsey and Dan are so excited to finally be married to the love of their life. They cannot wait to party it up with all their family and friends and we can’t wait either!! Thanks for showing me some pretty new locations. We had so much fun getting to know you both more and CANNOT wait for the wedding next May!!
