Krista + Rob Engagement Session at Barnegat Lighthouse in Long Beach Island, New Jersey
Krista & Rob were staying at the Jersey Shore for vacation and decided this would be the perfect time to have their engagement shoot! They were staying in Wildwood, but we decided to meet up at Barnegat Lighthouse in Long Beach Island for their shoot. I was so excited because even though i only live a couple hours from the shore.. i have yet to do a beach engagement session.
Krista & Rob’s love story is adorable. While out at a bar Rob’s friend went up to Krista to let her know Rob thought she was cute and lol she BLEW HIM OFF! The next day Rob found Krista on Instagram and she caved and gave him her number. They had their first date at Spasso’s in Olde City then shared their first kiss later that night while out with friends and have been inseparable ever since!
After 2 1/2 years of dating, Rob decided it was time for their next chapter. Rob took Krista to JG Skyline resturant on the 60th floor of the Comcast Building in Philly with the most gorgeous views. After, they went down to Penns Landing which is a very special place to the both of them. When they first started dating they used to come here a lot and just walk around, grab some ice cream and just hang out. Since they have so many great memories here Rob knew this was the spot – so he got down on one knee and proposed!! After she obviously said yes, they celebrated with family and friends all night.
We met up at Barnegat Lighthouse around 7:15 and i couldn’t have been more happy when i arrived because weather and lighting was PERFECT. They were so much fun to work with we were all just laughing the whole time. I cannot tell you enough wonderful things about these two. Their energy is so amazing, so easy going and relaxed. Anything that allows them to enjoy each others company makes them happy.
Side note: if theres ever a sign that says “gates close at 8pm” please don’t ever trust me when i say oh no we’ll be fine they wont lock us in! Because um, we got back to our cars at 8:20 and they most definitely locked us in and i had to call 911 to get us released lol!!! Thankfully once again Krista & Rob we’re cool about it – i apologized and said look this is who i am i go with the flow way too much but they didn’t care and just laughed it off – we only had to wait about 10 minutes for the cop to come and let us out anyway so we’re good lol.
Thank you Krista & Rob for allowing me to capture such a special time in your life. I can’t wait until your wedding, it’s going to be so much fun!!!
